Actually, that probably gives you a bit too much insight into my current state of mind.

Hi, y'all.  Welcome to Tuesday.  It's a bit of a struggle to stay focused on work today (he says as he types an LJ entry), especially since all of my projects are pretty well caught up.  Oh, there's one or two things I suppose I could be working on, but really, I'm in a mood of not giving a ripe rat's ass about it.

Anyway, enough grousing.  This last weekend was actually pretty cool.  Friday, the kids and I roamed around a bit, starting with getting a pumpkin at Butler's Orchard.  They had a really nice selection of pumpkins, as well as other neat stuff.  We got a 22 lb pumpkin and some apple cider while we were there.  The only thing about the trip is that the roads that lead to the orchard are kinda narrow - don't bring the Hummer.

Anyway, from there we headed to the Lancaster County Dutch Market to wander around.  Had lunch in the restaurant there; F. had a chili dog that was roughly the size of his arm, B & I both had soup (she had chicken pot pie, I had chicken corn noodle) and their "Lunch Haystack" which is lettuce, tomato, Doritos, chili & cheese.  With drinks and a plate of fries to split, it came to about $25 - and no one left the table hungry.  We picked up a small tray of deviled eggs (6 for $2), a rotisserie chicken, a 4 piece pack of fried chicken, and 2 small pies (most of which was slated for that evenings dinner).  Then, on to Costco, then home, where we put groceries away and settled down to watch some Godzilla flicks.

These are the sort of days that you don't get enough of.  Spending time with the kids doing stuff that you'll all remember for many years to come.

The party for [livejournal.com profile] usethe4sluke on Friday night was also very cool.  Got to see some people I haven't seen for a while.

The rest of the weekend was fairly uneventful.  Got some cleaning done.  [livejournal.com profile] mousecat0  helped fill in at Starbucks on Sunday.  The Eagles lost.  And now, I'm trying to get things in order at night to get ready for a meeting on Sunday and to paint the ceiling.  I'll probably repair the kitchen ceiling on Saturday.  Looks like I'll need a 4 x 4 chunk of drywall.

Work is, well, work.  I'd feel better about life there if we hadn't had one person leave last Friday and 2 more leave in the next 2 weeks.  Rats off a sinking ship. :: shakes head ::

Haven't had much time for WoW of late.  Been playing my mage (Gunsnbutter) more.

And, I've started the turkey day food buying.  Decided to not make the veggie broth this year; this is a time and materials decision.  More purchases to be made as the time draws nearer.

I'm rambling.  I'm tired.  I don't wanna be here.  All I need is for my lottery investment to pay off.

Ladies and gents, I bid you good day.
