A moment...

So there I was, walking from my cubicle to the men's room. And I looked outside and was transfixed by the beauty of what I saw.
Snow falling, snow on trees, on the ground. Like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting.
And in addition to the natural beauty, it triggers memories. Every Christmas, the church I grew up in had numerous flocked trees on the altar. Prior to the midnight mass, the only illumination in the church (from at least 11:30 on) was from those lit trees. I can still see it in my minds eye. The beauty in the simplicity of the white lights on the white trees. The feelings of hope...of peace...of love...present in the congregation.
For several moments, I was lost in the beauty and the memories. All cares melted away. All worries forgotten.
A door closed somewhere down the hall, and I was wrenched back to the here and now.
May you all find a moment of peace like that today.
